first time there, the food was AMAZING!!! the mushroom tofu was perfect and we tried one of the leaf-wrapped desserts which was also perfect. everyone there was so nice and gave great recommendations. the vegan and vegetarian options are so so so good

Dong Phuong Tofu Dong Phuong Tofu is a true gem! This family-owned vegetarian restaurant has been my go-to since 2011, and every visit feels like coming home. The food is always fresh, comforting, and full of authentic flavors. Their BBH is an absolute favorite—rich, delicious, and truly authentic. Whether you’re a vegetarian or just love great food, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

A local hidden GEM in East Side San Jose. I came here ever since I was a little kid! Mama Lieu always took care of me and my family! The food here is amazing 10/10 every single time. It's all vegetarian food and togo style. Kind of like a Vietnamese Chipotle lol. I love this place. I eat here every single time I come home to visit nowadays. The owner Mama Lieu is always extremely friendly and hospitable. My family & I love her! She is amazing and will take care of you! I feel like I'm visiting my blood related auntie every time I come here. I hear her greet me every single time I walk through that door. Every single person I know that has ate here has nothing, but great things to say about it. This place has been here for over 35 years and stands strong. Thank you for service and years of great food Mama Lieu!!! =)

No frills Vegan eatery with delicious food and excellent service! Food: Their best sellers are the noodle soups with tons of vegetables and vegan proteins. Don't sleep on the rice combos. They are well made and flavored to perfection. We eat here every week since we found it. Service: Everybody is friendly, knowledgeable, and makes great recommendations. Ambiance: Rice dishes are already made. Just pick. A few tables in restaurant for dine-in in. Value: Prices were reasonable for the quality of food and service. Rice Combos are $12.00 and soups are $14.50. Cash and Zelle only. No credit card.

I've eaten here several times before this review. Tasty vegetarian foods with good prices. Not much of a sit down and hang around atmosphere. The staff is nice.

Very friendly homely place! Smiling faces and lovely people! Food is great, all vegetarian and delicious. We went there first time today and were highly impressed by the flavors. Big portions too. This will be our go to Vietnamese food place for sure.

A wide selection of vegetarian to go foods and noodle soup dishes ($8.50). Service is friendly and English is spoken. It's not easily noticeable but they've got really good hot sweet ginger soft tofu for a reasonable price.$3 for small and $5 for larger 2X
